To attempt to digest it all and apply it in the classroom is difficult.

The advent of performance ratings can impact your professional career and put your livelihood on the line.  

The aim is to generate an environment where responsible creative minds can be exposed to ideas, experiment and test their values and assemble a unique set of skills that will make them valuable to society at large and enabling them to make a difference.

I provide these two links as evidence that this questioning and lack of understanding is universal.

In my short career in education but in my professional exploration, I provide a safe atmosphere where students can test their skills and interests and investigate these areas where they can generate value and contribute something back to society.  

This is why I am currently pursuing this as a career because I see it as a place where I can make a difference.
